• Crocheting

Crocheting which is similar to knitting is a process of creating fabric from yarn using a crochet hook. With crocheting you use a hook instead of needles and you are pulling loops through other loops one at a time while keeping a loose or tight hold on your yarn. Not being able to maintain a steady hold on your yarn can lead to inconsistencies in your finished garment, and also where knitting requires circular needles or four or five needles to create a round or cylindrical pattern you only need one crochet hook to do the same thing.

  • Crochet Hooks

Crochet hooks are typically made from aliminum, casein, wood or plastic. There are different sizes of crochet hooks which are marked by letters, numbers, or in millimetres and fractions of an inch. The hook itself is sized to match the ply or thickness of the thread. There is also crochet hooks available for double-sided crocheting pieces that have a hook at each end, these are called cro-hook.
